Update from January 1st 2019:

  • As at the beginning of every year, here is a short statistics update for the website: In 2018 www.matrixwissen.de hat 525.840 individual visitors who caused 7.662.999 page views. That is 3 percent more visitors than in 2017 and a 42 percent increase in page views.

  • As far as the daily visitor count is concerned it remained pretty stable at around 1400 per day - similar to the previous year. While the visitor count from the US had increased significantly from 2016 to 2017 it now dropped back down again. So in 2018 72.6% of all visitors came from Europe and just 15.5% are from the US. Most European visitors are from Germany, Austria and Switzerland but there is also a significant number of people from France visiting the website.

  • Most visitors access the website through Google (34%) whereas access from Facebook has dropped to about 1%. 53% of the access is through the website itself - which means people following internal links from article to article.

  • The number of subscribers on Youtube has increased in 2018 from 8454 to 11193. Unfortunately most uploaded translation videos only get 2000 to 4600 views. Only my translation of Tom Campbell's video on "What you can do with your consciousness" is significantly above the average with a total of 31.000 views.

  • I have received a total of 17 donations for the website in 2018 which is one donation more than in 2016. While the number of donations has increased the donated amount is lower than in the previous two years. Nevertheless I was again able to cover the hosting fees for the server that the website is running on without having to use any kind of advertisement on the website which was my main goal. This goal was mainly archieved thanks to 20 people who additionally supported the hosting of Tom Campbell's Fireside Chats financially. Many thanks to both groups.

  • Due to the limited computing power of the previously used video conference server it was necessary to give it a hardware upgrade. Since September 2018 all websites as well as the video conference system is now hosted on a new dedicated server with an Intel Xeon E3-1246V3 processor, 32GB RAM, 2x2TB RAID and 1Gbit network. This increased the costs even more but the increased quality of the recordings is worth it as it become more reliable.

    • Already since 2017 I am also running Tom Campbell's German website on that server at www.tom-campbell.de which is also available in an English version. On the German version of that website the new translation of MBT Book 2 is available in German for free to bridge the gap until it is released as a printed book.

  • Currently I am working on the German translation of a 2-hour interview I did with Tom Campbell and Jim Elvidge about the virtual reality model. Jim released his new book "Digital Consciousness" in December 2018 and we have talked about its content extensively during the interview. For February we have planned the next Youth Fireside Chat and in March the European friends of Tom Campbell will be very happy about an announcement we are about to make in the next few days ;-)

  • Since the first episode of the "Psi demystified" series I recorded with Tom Campbell was quite popular, I'm planning to record another two episodes of this format during 2019.

  • Since early 2018 I am also involved in the administration of Tom Campbell's own English website, his wiki and his forum, which also eats up some of my time and limits the work I can invest into my own Matrixwissen website.

Update from January 1st 2018:

  • Another short statistics update for the website: In 2017 the Matrixwissen.de website was visited by 508.332 unique visitors who caused 5.383.493 page views. This is about 1% less visitors than in 2016 but an 18% increase in page views. Make of it what you want, I'm not really too much into these figures but want to report them at least once a year.
  • The majority of visitors find the website through Google and Facebook, the last one is interesting since I don't even have Facebook account, so these must all be people notifying each other about something interesting they found here, which is cool to see.
  • There has also been a shift in where the visitors come from. The visitors from Europe dropped from 76% to 60% while those from North America rose to 37% - which is more than twice of the 15.6% from 2016. So welcome to all those from America dropping by.
  • There was again no particular trend in the amout of visitors, which stayed stable at around 1400 per day. While looking at these figures I saw that there is a glitch in the collected data from April 17 to 24 where no data was collected at all. Since the website was up and running at the time, the real visitor count should actually be higher by about 10.000 but I wont make any corrections as that is just an estimate based on the 1400 per day average.
  • The number of subscribers on Youtube has increased in 2017 from 6330 to 8454
  • I have received a total of 16 donations for the website in 2017 which is an increase compared to 9 in 2016. Thanks to these donations I was again able to cover the hosting fees for the server that the website is running on without having to use any kind of advertisement on the website which was my main goal. I am greatful for all these people showing their support.
  • Also there have been - again - several donations made particularly for the hosting of the Fireside Chats with Tom Campbell which are also hosted on my server. Hosting video conferences requires significantly more resources than just hosting a website so thanks also to those contributing to the Fireside chat donation pool.
  • For those who missed it: I created a new German website for Tom Campbell which is also available in an English version. If you want to check it out, you find it at
  • Additionally new episodes are added regularly to the video archive of all Fireside Chat discussions with Tom Campbell. I have also made all Fireside Chats available as an audio podcast. You can find them on this website: https://fireside-podcast.matrixwissen.de

Update from January 1st 2017:

  • Just a short statistics update for the website: In 2016 the Matrixwissen.de website was visited by 513.270 unique visitors who caused 4.556.375 page views. The majority of visitors (75.98%) is from Europe (primarily Germany) but another 15.60% is from North America. There have been 5 visitors from Antarctica ;-)
  • There is no particular trend in the amout of visitors, while there are phases with less visitors particularly in July and August (the main holiday season in Germany), overall there have been between 1300 and 1500 visitors per day on a very regular basis. Only 2 days in the entire year show more than 2000 visitors and another 2 days show less than 1000 visitors, so the stream of visitors is pretty stable. A lot of them come in through search engines or directly from Youtube.
  • The number of subscribers on Youtube has increased in 2016 from 4820 to 6330.
  • I have received a total of 9 donations for the website in 2016 which is the same number as in 2015. Since 2 of these donations were very generous I was again able to cover the hosting fees for the server that the website is running on without having to use any kind of advertisement on the website which was my main goal. It would still feel better to receive a few more smaller donations instead of these 2 large ones but I am greatful for the people showing their support. Also there have been additional donations made particularly for the hosting of the Fireside Chats with Tom Campbell since the hosting of the video conferences takes a lot more computing resources than hosting a website. Thanks again to everybody who made a donation.
  • In 2016 I also started the Fireside Chat Podcast website at https://fireside-podcast.matrixwissen.de which makes the Fireside Chats with Thomas Campbell available as an audio podcast. I also finally managed to release some of the results from the 2015-2016 Matrixwissen survey at https://www.matrixwissen.de/ergebnisse but unfortuantly I did not have the time yet to translate them into English. There are still more results to be released but I just have to find some time to get it all done...

All the best for 2017 to all visitors and supporters

Update from January 1st 2016: In 2015 I had to spent most of my time on the administrative part of the website which meant a lot of work behind the scenes which did not create any new content. I hope this will change in 2016 and that I can now focus primarily on new content.

  • In the last 3 years I always published the number of visitors and page views of the previous year at this time but this year I am not able to do so: During 2015 I had to change the software of the website which used to collect the visitor counts but then I discovered that the new software increasingly delayed the loading time of the website upto several seconds so I decided to uninstall it after one month. I have found a new solution which I will start using for 2016 but the figures I have for 2015 are incomplete. The data I have shows that the amount of visitor most likely dropped compared to 2014 to roughly 450.000 visitors per year. This figure is just an extrapolation of the data I have for the first 9 months of the year. Also the donations for the website have gone down (from 12 in 2014 to 9 in 2015).
  • The number of subscribers on Youtube has increased in 2015 from 3370 to 4820. Fortunately about the same number of people actually watch the uploaded videos - at least when looking at the longterm figures.
  • Regarding the survey: Initially I planned to have the survey run only for 2015 but since the number of participants is still pretty low I will keep it online for a few more months.
  • I have finally moved all of Thomas Campbell's Fireside Chats into their own catagory / menu, which can now easily be reached through the main menu at the top of each page within the I-Rummage menu.

Update from December 12th: In order to improve the display of the website on mobile devices I tested a free software extension which unfortunately finances itself by inserting adds on the website. Since this didn't comply with my 100% add-free philosphy at Matrixwissen.de I decided to buy a commercial solution which displays no adds. Since yesterday the layout of the mobile version of the website has thus changed. In case you have any problems viewing the website, please send me a screenshot so I can fix it. Thanks!

Update from October 1st: Starting today the Matrixwissen webserver can also be reached using the new HTTP2.0 protocol. In order to use it, you have to access the website via https (e.g. https://www.matrixwissen.de).

Update from September 24th: Today a second layout of the website was created which is particularly tailored for Smartphones. If everything works as expected, Smartphones are automatically detected and the website is displayed as a highly simplified Smartphone version. You can always switch to the regular "Desktop" version of the website via a link that is displayed at the very bottom of each page. Unfortunately the software which enabled me to create the Smartphone version has a downside: It adds one ad at the very bottom of each page which contradicts my philosophy of keeping the website completely free of any ads. But I find it very important to make the website more easily accessible via Smartphones so this is a compromize I decided to make. In case the donations I receive for my website exceed to money I have to pay to run the server itself, then I will take the step to buy the software which makes it possible to remove the ad at the bottom.

Update from September 22nd: The entire website had to be upgraded to a new release of the software (Joomla 3.4). Since the multi-language module used until now was not available for the new release, the upgrade required some major changes and reworking the entire English part of the website. This included editing all internal links and took me several days but it had this positive side effect that I fixed many dead links I discovered while editing all English articles... If you still find something not working, please send me an email with the error you found. Thanks!

On January 11, 2015 the first Matrixwissen survey has started. I would appreciate it, if many readers of Matrixwissen would take part. More information regarding the survey can be found at the Survey Info page.

A small statistics update from the end of 2014:

  • Matrixwissen.de had 555.113 visitors in 2014 which read 3.019.628 pages. This is an increase of 68% compared to 2013. The move of the website to its own server which happened this November was financed by the 12 donations, which I received in 2014. Thanks again to those 12 donors because this way it is ensured that the website will remain free of advertisments and stay online reliably. On Youtube the amount of subscribers rose from 1800 to 3370 and a total of 366.000 videos were viewed within 2014 alone. All in all a positive balance for this year.
  • Due to a stressful phase at the university there won't be any German translation videos on Youtube until March. As a special project for 2015 I am currently designing a psychological survey to research connections between unusual life experiences and personality traits. Another topic to be researched by the survey are correlations between different types of unusual life experiences.

Update from beginning of November 2014:

  • Matrixwissen.de has recently moved to its own server, since the web package booked at my previous provider was not suitable for the increased numbers of daily visitors which had a negative effect on the loading time of the website. Another reason was the high additional cost for implementing SSL (https) at my old provider. Thus I have rented my own server where the website is now hosted which also has the advantage that we can have our monthly Fireside Chat video conferences with Thomas Campbell on the new server as well. This step was only possible thanks to a couple of readers of my website who have made a donation to offset the costs of renting the new server. Thanks to those 10 people who have made a solution possible that the currently 1500 to 2000 daily visitors will benefit from.

  • In case you find anything that does not work as it did before, then please let me know. Several aspects of the configuration were changed and errors in the change process might have happened, which should be found and resolved as soon as possible...

A small statistics update from the end of 2013:

  • Matrixwissen.de had over 329.000 visitors in 2013 which read over 1.547.000 pages. This is an increase of 35% compared to 2012. Since the start of this website in 2010 a total of 9 people have used the donation feature and have contributed to keeping the website free of any advertisement. Thus a special thank you to those 9 people because this way at least the costs of running the website are distributed on several shoulders. There is also positive news on Youtube, the amount of subscribers is now above 1800 and the total video views have passed 500.000
  • In the last weeks several broken links and videos have been fixed. Since the website has grown to a total of 1400 individual articles (half German, half English) I do not realize immediately when a link or an embedded video does not work anymore. Thus receiving a message (or a comment on the page with a broken video) is very helpful. The amount of new articles and German video translations is currently limited since I decided that I want to add a second degree to my degree as an electrical engineer but this time I'm studying psychology which also cuts down on my time budget of working on the website but further translations are in the works...
